Top End crime: Service station employees allegedly held at knife point as teens arrested

Multiple youths have been arrested after two service station staffers were allegedly threatened at knifepoint while a woman was dragged from her car in an attempted theft.

November 15, 12pm: NT Police have arrested multiple youths following a string of alleged aggravated robberies which involved a woman being dragged out of her car and a teen threatening a servo employee with a knife.

Police allege three teen girls threatened an employee with a knife at a bottle shop on Leanyer Drive before damaging stock and fleeing the scene about 6.30pm on Friday.

The same group were later spotted allegedly attempting to stop a vehicle on Grassland Crescent in an attempted car-jacking.

They are alleged to have dragged the driver out of the vehicle, who defended herself in spite of minor injuries causing the teens to flee with her mobile phone.

Casuarina general duties and Strike Force Trident officers arrested the three girls aged 12, 13 and 14 and recovered the stolen phone a short time later.

In an unrelated incident, a teen is alleged to have entered a service station on Bagot Rd in Ludmilla, armed with a knife.

Police allege he threatened an employee before stealing a quantity of cash and fled the scene on foot about 8.15pm.

Strike Force Trident are continuing to investigate the incidents and urge anyone with information to make contact on 131 444 or through Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

Four girls and a male teen arrested over alleged robbery

November 12 10am: Four females and a male have been arrested in relation to an alleged aggravated robbery that occurred in Bakewell overnight.

Police said around 11pm, the Joint Emergency Services Communication Centre received a report that the group had entered a service station in Bakewell and allegedly threatened an employee with a knife and stole cash.

Police allege during the incident, the employee suffered a laceration to his hand and the group all fled the scene on foot into nearby parkland.

Members from Strike Force Trident began investigations and earlier today, four females aged, 11, 13, 16, 17 and one male aged 14, were all arrested.

Police said further investigations indicated that the some of the offenders were allegedly involved in another incident at a service station in Palmerston Sunday night.

Investigations into the incidents remains ongoing.

November 12 10am: Police are calling for information after a woman was attacked in a Darwin home in an alleged domestic violence incident.

At about 6am on Tuesday morning, the NT Police Force was called to reports of a 39-year-old man assaulting a woman at a home on Fairweather Crescent, Coolalinga.At the scene, officers arrested the man and, and his alleged victim was located with non-life threatening injuries.

Following initial investigations, he was charged with aggravated assault, deprivation of liberty and breaching a suspended sentence.

He was remanded in custody and scheduled to appear in Darwin Local Court on Wednesday.

Police thanked the members of the public who contacted emergency services, enabling a swift response to the incident.

Two arrested over alleged Cullen Bay robbery

November 10, 3pm: Two males were arrested following an alleged aggravated robbery that occurred in Cullen Bay on November 7.

Police said that around 2am Friday, the Joint Emergency Services Communication Centre received a report that two males had allegedly entered a business premises on Marina Boulevard and stole a quantity of alcohol.

It is alleged that the 68-year-old business owner heard a loud noise nearby and went to investigate.

Police said she was then confronted by two males, one who allegedly threw at rock at her, causing her to retreat inside for her safety.

The males then allegedly forced their way inside stealing a quantity of alcohol before fleeing the scene.

No injuries were reported as a result of the alleged incident.

Today, detectives from Strike Force Trident, with assistance from the Dog Operations Unit, located and arrested an 18-year-old male at an address in Gray and a 20-year-old male in Ludmilla.

Police believe a third offender remains outstanding and are urging anyone with information about the incident to make contact on 131 444, quoting reference number NTP2500110794. Anonymous reports can be made through Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 444 or via crimestoppersnt.com.au.
