Strange light soars across Top End night sky

A Top End man’s dashcam footage has revealed an interesting light which soars across the night sky and disappears within seconds, COULD IT BE A UFO?

STRANGE things happen when you live in the Territory.

While driving on a Top End road, an unexpected flash of light soared through the sky, flashing right before Jordan McNiven’s eyes.

It was there one second, disappearing into the abyss the next.

At the time, Mr McNiven was driving with his housemate when the strange illuminative phenomenon graced their eyes about 10pm on Saturday on Chung Wah Tce, heading towards Elrundie Ave in Palmerston.

“As I was with my housemate, he thought of a shooting star and I thought I could have been an osprey,” Mr McNiven said.

“Only thing that I can think of is either space junk being burnt up in our atmosphere or a meteorite burning up on entry.

“This is the first time I’ve ever seen anything like this.”

Whether or not the bright object is a UFO remains unconfirmed.
