They stayed in the finals picture for much of last season, but both PINT and the Buffaloes will be expecting better in the 2024-25 NTFL season.

Catch their big opening day clash on Saturday. NT News and KommunityTV will stream every moment from 4.30pm.

The pair met in the opener last season when the Buffaloes clawed back a 24-point halftime deficit to claim the win.

As the season wore on, it was the Greenants who proved the more consistent and found their way into the top five to clinch their first-ever Premier League finals spot.

This year will be another test for PINT as they welcome in a new man at coach in former AFL player Mark Whiley, and deal with the loss of some key players, such as Steven Motlop.

Thomas Schott, fresh off a grand final with CMS Crows on the Yorke Peninsula, leads the way and there’s plenty more to come from a side eager to improve further.

The Buffaloes have had their own changes with NTFL great Phil Wills taking over as coach from Rick Bean.

Proven ball winner Jarrod Stokes retains the captaincy, while Tom Simpson, who had a 51 touch game for Labrador earlier this year, has been named in the Round 1 outfit.
