Early morning risers in the Darwin were stopped in their tracks by monster crocs soaring high above the CBD on Tuesday.
With the help of a 100 tonne giant crane, the crocs were making way for the arrival of Crocosaurus Cove’s new arrival Bullo.
With military-like precision and under the careful supervision of Crocosaurus boss Mick Burns and Outback Wrangler’s Matt Wright, Bullo was craned in.
The 4.5 metre beast was originally taken out of Bullo River Station where he had earned a reputation for following and harassing fishing and tour boats.
Bullo’s arrival meant the shuffling around by crane of a few current residents inside Crocosaurus.
Bullo is now an ambassador for education around croc safety in the Territory.
Among those moved was Wendell, which comes in a little under 5 metres, pictured above being prepared by Mick Burns and Matt Wright for airlifting.
The sunrise operation took the best part of two hours and went off without a hitch.
