Swimming Northern Territory has sent 21 swimmers to compete at national swimming events across the country throughout April.
As well as the swimmers four coaches and three technical officials will also be going to the national championships.
Swimming NT has a phenomenal 10 swimmers competing at the 2025 Australian Age and Age MC Championships in Brisbane from April 10.
Recently crowned NT Sportsperon of the Year Macey Sheridan headlines the group with six events ahead of her in Brisbane.
Sheridan has enjoyed plenty of success in recent years with 11 gold medals and a silver already to her name at national championships, and is one of the best age group swimmers in the country.
In addition, there are a record four multi-class swimmers competing, highlighting the growing access and inclusion in the NT for swimmers with a disability.
There are also 10 swimmers from Masters Swimming NT competing in the 2025 Masters Nationals Swimming Championships, which started on April 8.
The event at the Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre will feature swimmers from both the Darwin Buffaloes and Darwin Stingers.
Zayne Mallett has already tasted success in the event with two golds coming from the 100m freestyle and 100m backstroke.
Another strong Top End prospect James Smith as well as s19 Nightcliff swimmer Sean Deutsch are competing at the 2025 Australian Open Championships in Brisbane from April 21-24.
Smith recently attended the next gen camp for Australian swimmers looking at being involved in the LA 2028 Olympics and will want to keep the progression going as he takes on four events.
His other recent achievements include a gold in the 1500m Free at the NSW Open Championship breaking his own NT record with a time of 15:34.87.
“These numbers show the fantastic state of swimming here in the NT and the clear pathways to peak performance available for all swimmers, coaches and officials,” an NT Swimming spokesperson said.
