Garma Festival 2022: Thousands attend historic East Arnhem Land event

Culture and colour was on show at the Garma Festival in East Arnhem Land over the weekend. SEE ALL THE PICTURES

PM 'delivered the most important speech' at the Garma Festival

GARMA Festival returned in historic style this year, with the Prime Minister using the event to signal constitutional change to recognise indigenous people in Australia’s birth certificate.

Garma’s return after a two-year pandemic hiatus gathered thousands of people together in a celebration of Indigenous community, culture and policy-making.
