Chamber’s future clear as Bell takes over presidency

A peak industry body has appointed a new executive. Read who’s making the decisions.

The Northern Territory Chamber of Commerce has a new executive line-up after elections last week.

Prominent Top End communications specialist Natalie Bell will replace Natasha Griggs as president with NTEX director Eileen Breen elected vice president, and ANZ Bank’s Tim Woolfe elected vice president finance.

The Chamber said the new team’s combined expertise, industry knowledge and commitment would help strengthen the Territory’s business community and play a significant role in guiding the Chamber NT’s strategic direction.

Ms Bell is co-managing director of public relations and business events agency AA&P and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Professionally, she has been involved in event organisation in the NT, Western Australia and Queensland.

Ms Breen co-founded, and is business development manager, at NTEX, which promotes business sustainability across Australia and overseas. The 2023 NT AgriFutures Rural Women’s Award winner, Ms Breen chairs the NT Sustainable Business Working Group and serves as President of Waste and Recycling Industry NT.

Mr Woolfe is a key member of ANZ Bank who began with the NT Chamber as an intern director in 2020 before becoming a director last year.

Ms Bell welcomed the opportunity to assume the presidency and to continue advocating for business.

“It is an honour to step into the role of president after serving as vice president in 2024-2025 and I’m committed to advancing the policies, innovations and partnerships needed to build a stronger, more competitive Northern Territory economy.” she said.

“There is immense potential in northern Australia, and the Northern Territory has a pivotal role to play in shaping the nation’s future economic growth.

“Our focus at the Chamber will be on unlocking that potential, supporting businesses to innovate, strengthening pathways for investment, and championing the industries that will define the future of the Territory’s economy.

“The board brings deep expertise across key Territory sectors and are well positioned to strengthen our advocacy, accelerate economic growth and deliver meaningful outcomes for our members and the Territory business community.”

Ms Griggs stepped aside as president after two years in the role, during which Glen Hingley was appointed chief executive.

The 2025 Northern Territory Chamber of Commerce and Industry Board is: Natalie Bell (AA & P) - president; Eileen Breen (NTEX) - vice president; Tim Woolfe (ANZ Bank) - vice president finance; Anna Goat (RISE Project Consulting); Craig Jervis (Lasseters Hotel Casino); Guzyal Hill (HWL Ebsworth Lawyers); James Johnson (KPMG); Linda Blackwood (Station Mechanical Solutions); Stephen Densmore (Ventia).
