Ball Park Music, In Hearts Wake among confirmed acts for BASSINTHEGRASS 2026

Australian favourites, international acts and emerging talents will take centrestage at the 2026 edition of Darwin’s BASSINTHEGRASS. Check out the lineup.

The BASSINTHEGRASS line-up has been revealed for 2026 with a mix of Australian favourites, international acts and emerging talents taking centre stage.

The Territory staple of the past 23 years has grown into one of the country’s most unique festivals attracting thousands.

Tickets are now on sale for the 2026 event to be held on May 16 across three iconic stage at Mindil Beach.

Among the 2026 acts are the returning Peking Duk, In Hearts Wake and Ball Park Music set to make for a huge edition.

While more artists are to be announced soon, the current line-up of acts includes Anna Lunoe B2B Nina Las Vegas, Ball Park Music, G Flip, In Hearts Wake, JessB (NZ), Kita Alexander, Mallrat, Maple’s Pet Dinosaur, Peking Duk, Teen Jesus and the Jean Teasers, The Teskey Brothers and Venjent (UK).

In Hearts Wake said “we’re beyond stoked to be part of BASSINTHEGRASS 2026. The NT is the red heart of the country, and BASSINTHEGRASS is such an important festival for the music scene.”

Darwin was always a goal for Maple’s Pet Dinosaur who said “now I’ve got the best reason ever, we’re pumped to play BASSINTHEGRASS among a stacked line-up.”

While Anna Lunoe said she was excited to dance with everyone on her return to the Top End.

“So excited to be heading back to beautiful NT to see all the Top End baddies at BASSINTHEGRASS 2026. “

Major Events and Tourism and Hospitality minister Marie-Clare Boothby said the festival had become a must-do experience for music lovers nationwide.

“BASSINTHEGRASS is more than a music festival, it’s a unique Territory experience,” she said.

“Last year, one in four festivalgoers came from interstate, and they didn’t just come for the music, they came for the adventure.

“They stayed longer, explored our national parks, cruised with crocodiles and soaked up our incredible hospitality.

“With new flight routes connecting Darwin to more destinations than ever, there’s never been a better time to make BASSINTHEGRASS part of your travel plans.”

The line-up announcements follows the Visitor Economy Strategy announced on Wednesday, which aims to grow visitor spending from $1.5 billion to $2.2 billion and boost overnight trips from 1.2 million to 1.5 million by 2032

“Backing major events like BASSINTHEGRASS is central to that goal,” Ms Boothby said.

“The 2025 festival alone injected nearly $10 million into the Territory economy and supported hundreds of local jobs.

“From the Laksa Festival to the MXGP, the Territory keeps punching above its weight, and BASSINTHEGRASS shows how our laid-back lifestyle can drive real jobs and opportunities.”

General Admission from $99 (next release $135). Kids aged 13 and under enter free with a paying adult. Premium options also available.
