NSW coronavirus cases have reached 3,090 with 370 of those currently active.

While consistent hotspots such as Bondi and Penrith continue to have active cases, there are still some suburbs in Sydney which have yet to register a single confirmed case.

Unsurprisingly, the Eastern Suburbs all have registered COVID cases, except for the postcode 2052, which is the UNSW campus.

While a UNSW student did test positive in on campus accommodation, units are actually in Kensington, so are counted in a different postcode.

The University of Sydney in postcode 2006 and Macquarie University in postcode 2109 also had no recorded cases who lived in the area.

The North Shore postcode 2105, which encompasses Church Point, Elvina Bay, Scotland Island and Lovett Bay tested 120 of its 1848 population but has found no cases to date.

In the Inner West the suburbs of Enfield, Enfield South, Strathfield South, Burwood Heights and Croydon Park have registered no cases, despite the Inner West being an area of increased surveillance.

Church Point and Scotland Island have registered no confirmed cases and are essentially COVID free.

In the west and southwest there are still plenty of COVID free suburbs, including Penshurst, Milperra, Glenfield, Horsley Park and Badgerys Creek.

While these postcodes are relatively safe, there are still pockets of Sydney with high numbers of active cases.

The postcode 2747, where the embattled Newmarch House aged care facility is, has overtaken the eastern suburbs for the number of active cases. Twenty-four of its 50 confirmed cases have not yet recovered.

Nearby Penrith also hasn’t fully recovered with eight active cases, equal to the entire eastern suburbs which now has eight active cases.

Blacktown and North Ryde both have six active cases, while Bondi is down to just one.

Earlier today Premier Gladys Berejiklian said the low number of cases and easing restrictions is not an excuse to stop following the rules.

“I’m incredibly pleased with how we are tracking at this stage,” Premier Berejiklian said.

“It doesn't take much to have a spike, it doesn't take much to have an outbreak,” she said.

Currently NSW Health has highlighted no areas with a particularly high risk of community transmission.
