YOU thought the Budget was boring? You’re not the only one.
A seven-year-old boy expressed what we were all probably thinking during last night’s Budget, when he pretended to fall asleep on camera.
Canberra’s James Watling appeared in the background of an ABC television program while presenter Barrie Cassidy was delivering a Budget breakdown.
Among black suits and serious expressions, James popped up in his bright yellow SpongeBob SquarePants T-shirt and started pulling faces.

James’ mother Kassie Watling told the Daily Mail her family had just moved to Canberra and she wanted to give her children the real capital city experience.
They lined up to get a picture with ABC’s Annabel Crabb but they found themselves in the background of Cassidy’s program.
Clearly James wasn’t too interested in tax relief and people took to Twitter to pay their respects to the young boy.

“My husband and I could see him pulling faces in the viewer and we decided that he had sat quietly in the public gallery to watch the Budget speech,” Ms Watling said.
When the camera turned away from Cassidy, the family used it as a chance to sneak away.
Ms Watling said she let her son pull faces because he wasn’t disturbing anyone.
“He constantly amuses us. I’m pleased James gave some amusement to viewers on TV.”
Ms Watling said her son wasn’t too interested in the Federal Budget, and was more focused on his pocket money instead.
