THE waiting and speculation is over. Treasurer Scott Morrison has handed down his first Federal Budget, detailing the Turnbull Government’s vision for “jobs and growth” amid intense anticipation for a double-dissolution election.

“This cannot be just another Budget because these are extraordinary times,” Mr Morrison told Parliament in Canberra in his Budget speech. Labor says the budget puts big business ahead of battlers. “The Liberals say this is a plan for jobs and growth - but it’s really a plan to deliver tax cuts for multinationals at the expense of Australian families,” shadow treasurer Chris Bowen said.
