Millie J and Co mark ten years of business in Burdell

A staple for those living on Townsville’s Northern Beaches, Millie J and Co is in their tenth year of business.

A staple for those living on Townsville’s Northern Beaches, Millie J and Co is in their tenth year of business.

Owner Elly Bydeveldt said her hard working team have battled many ups and downs to continue providing caffeine hits and brunch as part of their family owned and operated business in Burdell.

“We’ve continued to try and create a space where people can come and really enjoy themselves and make be somewhere where people can enjoy themselves,” Ms Bydeveldt said.

“I am really grateful.”

With an extensive menu featuring a special range of eggs benedict options and food and drinks for breakfast, lunch and catering.

“We’re very seasonal, those things come and go but we still have our staples that our customers love,” Ms Bydeveldt said.

Millie J and Co also run High Tea’s, which are popular for Mother's Day, baby showers and birthdays, and pride themselves on having a large range of teas from across Australia.

“Our dishes are fresh and we really take pride in making great food and great coffee,” Ms Bydeveldt said.

With the Northern suburbs a booming area, she said they are positioned in a great spot.

“We have people that come for a coffee after doing their groceries, people coming to meet people in this bustling spot, but we also get people who maybe lived here and moved away that keep coming back.”

“We have a really great community.”

“We have that mix of bush and city, we are still part of Townsville but it has a relaxed feel.”
