Geelong’s second grade women’s team had a sensational Sunday, winning both of its T20 matches at Kardinia Park.

In the opening game, Geelong reeled in Prahran’s 5-104 off its 20 overs (Amelie Anderson 2-16) with captain Renee Cox contributing an unbeaten 32 off 23 balls, with support from Abby Wrigglesworth (20) and Clover McIlwaine (18).

In game two, Geelong was 2-73 off 11.4 overs chasing 99 for victory against Box Hill when rain interrupted play.

It capped off six wins from six matches for Geelong’s first, second and third grade teams.
