Land with approval for service station and fast food drive through for sale at Gordonvale

Four parcels of land surrounding the Woolworth’s Shopping Centre at Gordonvale – two with approval for development – are on the market and have attracted strong interest, according to the agents.

Interest rate rises 'pretty much done' as money markets react to SVB collapse

INTEREST in 1.6 hectares of prime land surrounding the Woolworths Shopping Centre at Gordonvale is strong, according to CBRE managing director Danny Betros.

The land is lot 2-5, Draper Rd and there are four lots ranging in size from 2284sq m to 3256sq m.

Mr Betros said two of the sites were already approved for a fuel outlet and a fast food drive through while the other two could developed for commercial uses with council approval.

“The sites have direct slip lane access to the Bruce Highway – yet to be built – and have excellent uninterrupted exposure and are part of the future trading hub of Gordonvale,” Mr Betros said.

“The response to date has been very strong and the sites are perfectly positioned to take advantage of one of Cairns’ higher growth areas,” he said.

“The sites are available in one line or separately.”

He said the site would be ideal for medical, childcare, gym, bulky goods, retail and commercial use.

It is 18km south of the Cairns CBD in the region’s fastest growing residential area.

Mr Betros said the slip lane access off the Bruce Highway was due to be complete late this year, with additional access provided along Fisher Rd and via easements across the shopping centre.

The Gabuda Gordonvale Shopping Centre, which opened in July last year, is also on the market. It is offered for sale by Woolworths Group.

CBRE’s Michael Hedger, Joe Tynan, James Douglas and Danny Betros are managing the sale via an expression of interest campaign, set to close on March 30.

Retailers at the centre include Coco Sushi, Malaysia Noodle House, Discount Drug Store and JSL Phone Repairs. The centre occupies a 20,580sq m site next to the Bruce Highway.
