The Townsville Bulletin’s cricket team have crunched the numbers, interviewed the coaches and looked at the selections to unearth the top 40 Under 18 Townsville cricketers to watch in season 2022-23.
The region’s top prospects come from clubs around the league, and many have honed their abilities on North Queensland’s representative teams.
A number of elite cricketers developed their skills playing locally in and around Townsville, including Andrew ‘Roy’ Symonds who grew up playing in Charters Towers.
Numbers 40-21 will be announced today, with the top 20 players revealed next week.
