Investigations ongoing into an alleged wounding in Glenvale

A man has been hospitalised after he was wounded during a suburban street brawl in the Garden City on Monday night.

Investigations are ongoing into an alleged wounding on a Toowoomba street which saw a man in his 40s hospitalised.

It’s understood an altercation erupted between a group of people in Glenvale, on the corner of Boundary and Minnett St about 10pm, Monday.

When police arrived at the scene they located the man who had sustained a non-life threatening laceration to his wrist.

A Queensland Police spokesman said officers applied first aid to the man before paramedics arrived on scene.

Paramedics assessed the man with hand and chest injuries and an uninjured female who were later taken to Toowoomba Hospital.

The QPS spokesman said there was no threat to public safety.
