A relative newcomer to the Glitter Strip hospitality scene has launched a lavish $100,000-plus add-on.
After 13 months of trading, White Rhino Bar & Eats on Cavill Avenue, Surfers Paradise, has just upgraded the venue, adding an impressive outdoor garden bar.
Artesian Hospitality partner Matt Keegan, whose stable of venues includes White Rhino plus Orchid Avenue nightclubs Sin City, The Bedroom and Havana, says the new space was “a necessity” for the busy venue.
“It’s only been a year since we’ve opened and to already need more bar areas because of how busy we are is a testament to the staff, live bands and our customers for supporting us,” he says.

“We’ve added an outdoor garden bar to cater for those that want to enjoy the summer sun and warm nights whilst still getting amazing food, cocktails and atmosphere at White Rhino.
“We’ve made a number of small changes since opening but this is the one we’re most excited about.”
White Rhino has been a favourite hangout for visiting reality TV personalities Jessika Power and Scotty T plus DJ duo Rockafellas, all in Surfers as Schoolies ambassadors this week.
Keegan said they have some “exciting events” in the works for the new garden bar.
“(We’ll) be starting with massive New Year’s Eve and Day parties, plus a special music event scheduled for January,” he said.
White Rhino opened in October last year and had seating for 220 plus capacity for 500-plus with an al fresco setting.
