Seaworld’s whale watching experts have filmed some amazing scenes from their packed boats in the past two weeks, including a pod of three humpbacks that came incredibly close to the vessel.

The whale watching season started officially in May, but is in full swing this month, with whale watchers rarely left disappointed on an outing.

The group who were lucky enough to go out with Seaworld on July 4 witnessed an inquisitive pod of three who swam under and around the boat before breaching right in front of stunned onlookers.

Staff from Seaworld’s whale watching boat have also put together a highlight reel of the best whale watching sights of the season so far.

The footage includes a young juvenile that shows off for the crowd breaching numerous times, often with the stunning Surfers Paradise skyline as his backdrop.
