GREAT Aussie larrikin Warwick Capper is under no illusions who the biggest name is in Ultra Tune’s next controversial TV ad – him.
The Gold Coast-based car repair and roadside assist giant signed Hollywood bad boy Charlie Sheen to star in its next commercial for a rumoured half million dollars – and had enough left in the budget to sign Capper too.
ULTRA TUNE SHRUGS OFF SHEEN DRAMA
The former AFL star and ex-Gold Coast resident told the Bulletin yesterday: “Ultra Tune has got the biggest names for this – number one is obviously me and then number two is Charlie Sheen.
“I’m bringing the sanity, the sex appeal, the whiter teeth and worldwide audience appeal,” Capper said.
“Look, I’ll be serious for a minute – it will be a great ad, Ultra Tune are a great company and its going to be a good fun ad.”
Capper wouldn’t say exactly what he was being paid but said he was “getting six figures – everyone is a winnner”.
Capper said he didn’t believe the Immigration Minister David Coleman should consider calls by an activist group against the objectification of women to refuse Sheen’s visa into Australia for filming next week.
“He did a few bad things but that was years ago. You always get a few knockers. I have five per cent of people who don’t like me.

“You have to take the good with the bad,” Capper said.
Activist group Collective Shout, citing Sheen’s “extensive history” of alleged violence against women has started a petition against his visa approval.
Collective Shout’s Caitlin Roper said letting him in to profit from a warts-and-all speaking tour in Sydney and Melbourne whilst here to shoot the Ultra Tune ad “sends the wrong message”.
Ultra Tune’s Gold Coast-based owner Sean Buckley has defended signing Sheen saying he was popular in focus group research and people should be able to “fess up” and get another chance.
The ad is being shot in Melbourne next week to screen nationwide in Australia early next year.
Typically, Ultra Tune’s ads – which attract the most advertising standards complaints every year – run during prime time when the Australian Open tennis is on.
The ads always star curvy Gold Coast models dubbed Ultra Tune Rubber Girls.
Capper and Sheen follow Jean-Claude Van Damme and Mike Tyson as Ultra Tune ad talent.
