He quacks like a duck, was born with a hole in his head and only has one tooth.
But this long-haired chihuahua’s fetching looks have earned him the title of Gold Coast’s cutest dog, in a Bulletin readers poll.
Cookie from Mermaid Beach rolled hundreds of other competitors to receive the most public votes and snatch the win.
Owner Heaven Schultz met her best furry friend after a previous pet passed away.
“My mum went to look for another dog for me and saw Cookie and had to get him. He wasn’t actually for sale,” she said.
“It took a bit of negotiating to actually get him.”
Cookie is a “snack monster” with plenty of dog beds and even has his own wing of the house. Ms Schultz said her adorable pooch turns plenty of heads when they go for a coffee run.
“He can’t bark, so he makes a quacking sound like a duck,” she said.
“He only has one tooth and was born with a hole in his head – he’s very unique.”
“Everything about him is just gorgeous. Whenever I’m upset he will give me a cuddle and smother me in kisses.”
