VIVA Surfers Paradise: Tickets on sale for Gold Coast Elvis Presley tribute festival

DUST off your blue suede shoes Gold Coast – it’s time to book in the annual Elvis Presley tribute festival.

The Glitter Strip will again host dozens of impersonators bearing long, thick sideburns and hugging glitzy jumpsuits for VIVA Surfers Paradise in July.

Early bird Legend Passes – guaranteeing the best seats – are on sale now, with Gold and Silver tickets available from March 31.

Fans will also be able to book a ‘golden ticket’ with Legend Passes and take advantage of exclusive feature shows, river cruises, VIP lounges, meet-and-greets and legend lunches.

David Lee, who has performed as Elvis across North America, Europe and the high seas for almost 25 years, made his debut at last years event.

The Elvis Tribute Artist Contest champion will return to the city after wowing crowds.

“I knew I was in for a treat last year and VIVA Surfers Paradise certainly lived up to the hype,” Mr Lee said.

“As a huge Elvis fan myself, I know how much his songs mean to the people who attend events such as VIVA Surfers Paradise.”

Surfers Paradise Alliance chair Laura Younger said: “VIVA Surfers Paradise has established itself as the ultimate tribute artist festival which pays tribute and celebrates the artists and music which simply never dies.

“Each year VIVA Surfers Paradise raises the bar for lovers of classic music and 2020 will be no different,” she said.
