Ute stuck in water off Labrador Boat Ramp

The driver of a Ford Ranger has narrowly avoided losing his beloved ute to the briny deep off Labrador Boat Ramp. SEE THE VIDEO

THERE’S better ways to wash your car than by submerging it in a saltwater canal.

A driver had a rude awakening on Saturday when he backed his ute too far down the Labrador Boat Ramp, where it became stuck in the water.

And for a moment the car looked like it was lost to the briny deep.

Luckily, the driver and his mates found a tow. With some DIY winching and the rev of an engine, the vehicle was pulled to safety.

As the car made its way back to dry land and onto Marine Parade, water gushed from every seal.

Emergency services including fire, police and ambulance officers said the incident hadn’t been reported.
