Two young girls have been pulled from the bottom of a resort swimming pool on the Gold Coast after a near-drowning.

TWO young girls have been pulled from the bottom of a resort swimming pool on the Gold Coast.
The near-drowning occurred just before 4pm this afternoon at a Main Beach resort on Hughes Avenue.
An Queensland Ambulance Services spokesman said the two girls had been found at the bottom of the pool.
Bystanders noticed the girls, believed to be primary school aged, underwater and pulled them out before paramedics arrived.

Paramedics treated the girls successfully and managed to get them into a stable condition before they were transported to Gold Coast University Hospital.
