A woman who was arrested and charged following a series of alleged events involving a police officer and state politician John-Paul Langbroek will remain behind bars.
Hannah Leigh Sinclair, 29, and a 15-year-old girl were arrested by two police officers Sunday afternoon at Peerless Ave, Mermaid Beach after allegedly entering the home of an officer in full uniform.
They then allegedly stole property from Mr Langbroek, state Member for Surfers Paradise.
Sinclair was arrested and charged with stealing, unlawful possession of suspected stolen property and breach of bail.
Her matter was adjourned to July 21 during a brief mention in the Southport Magistrates Court on Monday.
She did not apply for bail.
Sinclair and the teen allegedly broke into Mr Langbroek’s car and stole his keys and a wallet.
Mr Langbroek said his keys were found on a hedge and his wallet on a shelf inside another property’s garage near the scene.
Police said the teen had been released from custody pending further investigation.
