“DON’T worry, I goat your back.”
That appeared to be what Captain Dirty Pants the goose was thinking when he went into battle in honour of his lady friend Sticky yesterday.
The fight between the Currumbin Valley “friends” was captured on video and it is on its way to going viral.
Captain Dirty Pants often goes headed-to-head with grumpy goat Yagi but this particular fight was more brutal than anyone in the area had seen before.
Yagi tramples Captain Dirty Pants at one point during the scuffle and feathers flew when the goose was picked up and tossed over the goat’s antlers on the Krucks family property on Currumbin Creek Rd.
A menagerie of animals live on Drew and Kaori Kruck’s two acre property including Yagi, Captain Dirty Pants, Sticky, two rescue alpacas Sahara and Cosmo and two dogs Asti and Benny.
The couple also has two kids Casius, 6, and Vivica, 3.
“It is the craziest fight I have ever seen,” Mr Kruck said.
“Captain Dirty Pants was protecting Sticky — they never fight to the death though.
“They are just boys being boys.”
Mr Kruck, who co-owns Stick it Signs in Burleigh Heads, said usually Yagi and Captain Dirty Pants fight over bread but they sleep beside each other at night.
“Yagi was dumped at our property two years ago,” he said.
“We have had Sticky since 2009 and Captain Dirty Pants since 2012.
“They are all friends — even though it doesn’t seem that way in the video.”
