Construction of The Star Gold Coast’s $400 million ‘Epsilon’ tower has reached its halfway mark at 33-storeys and 100 meters.

The plan, approved by the state government in 2018, has seen the construction of the Dorsett Hotel and The Star Residence tower in 2021. Epsilon is due for completion in late 2024.

The Star Gold Coast’s chief operating officer Jess Mellor said the build will create more accommodation for the city and opportunities around tourism and events – boosting the local economy in both high and low seasons.

“The realisation of this project is creating an amazing legacy for the Gold Coast, continuing to provide jobs and opportunities,” Ms Mellor said.

“A new offering of events spaces will help draw the business and convention market to our region, driving visitation during traditionally off-peak periods.

“We want the Gold Coast to stay top of mind as a world-class tourism and entertainment destination, so continuing to invest and expand what we offer will only help to attract even more people to our city.”

Silas Croucher, project director of Destination Gold Coast Consortium – which oversees the masterplan – confirmed all 437 residential apartments in the new tower had been sold.

Once completed the tower will host 200 hotel rooms in addition to the residential apartments.
