Our furry best friends need a dedicated vet, and we can now reveal the top 10 best vets on the Gold Coast.

The Point Vet at Paradise Point opened a small clinic nine years ago, but grew and is now located in a clinic three times the size.

Owner and head vet John Rigley said puppy cuddles were a highlight of the day.

“For me the best part of the job is the variety – getting to do a bit of surgery, a bit of medicine and getting to cuddle puppies,” he said.

“A puppy lick seems to solve all problems.”

The team consists of three vets and seven nurses caring for mainly dogs and cats, but also the occasional lizard or bird.

“Everyone gets here with a smile on their face happy to do their job. We are very fortunate with the team we have,” Mr Rigley said.

“It’s always a team effort.”
