A Gold Coast-based “cleanfluencer” with millions of followers has announced the shock closure of her business, citing financial and personal reasons for the decision.

The Organised Housewife, Katrina Springer, became a national phenomenon after launching her successful website of the same name 13 years ago.

In a statement to customers and followers, the influencer revealed she had made the “difficult decision” to close her business, Organised HQ.

“This endeavour has been a labour of love, and we’ve been fuelled by the passion to create something meaningful for you. It has been a remarkable adventure, and your support has been the cornerstone of our success,” she said.

“However, navigating the hustle and bustle of entrepreneurship has presented me with a common struggle – the pursuit of a balanced work-life dynamic.

“I hold immense pride in what my team and I have accomplished, and the growth of Organised HQ and the impact it has had on each of your lives.

“However, as the economic landscape shifts, I’ve come to realise that I cannot sustain Organised HQ both financially and personally.

“With a heavy heart, I’ve reached the point to wind down Organised HQ. This decision was not made lightly, but rather with deep consideration about what serves the best interests of our business and my personal wellbeing.”

The mum said she was in the process of closing down the business and would announce details of a warehouse sale soon.

With the ethos of helping others feel better by being organised, she rose to prominence and appeared on national television and in magazines.

She published her first book, The Clean Home, last year and won the Gold Coast Bulletin’s Women of the Year People’s Choice Award in 2019.
