A Pimpama mother says her “threenager” has shown her cheeky, sassy and loving personality since she was born and continues to love being the centre of attention.

Aliyah Smith, aged three, has been voted the cheekiest toddler on the Gold Coast by Bulletin, finishing with 22 per cent of the votes.

Aliyah’s mother Teheimana Tiraa said she was their little ‘mermaid baby’ and liked to think it was because she had a water birth.

“I had an En Caul birth which is where the baby comes out still inside an intact amniotic sac, which has a one in 80,000 chance of happening,” she said.

Ms Tiraa said she would describe Aliyah as loud, cheeky and loving.

“She loves being the centre of attention and showing off,” she said.

“She loves running amok with all of her cousins and kindy friends.”

Ms Tiraa said she had always had a cheeky side to her.

“Every time she does something or eats something she knows (that) she shouldn’t she will come up to me and say ‘mummy shhh don’t tell daddy, it’s a secret’,” she said.

“Other times she won’t even tell us and will quickly sneak in to the chocolate stash and run and hide.

“We’ll then find her hiding with chocolate all over her face.

“Or whenever I get the lyrics or a dance wrong she’ll say ‘no mummy that’s not how you do it, watch me’,” Ms Tiraa said.

Voting is open for the Gold Coast’s most stylish toddler and will close at 9am on Thursday.
