A teenage boy has been taken to hospital after reporting being bitten by a snake in a rural Gold Coast suburb this morning.

A TEENAGE boy has been taken to hospital after reporting being bitten by a snake in the rural suburb of Norwell on Friday morning.

The boy, of an unspecified age, was apparently bitten on the hand at a private property shortly before 8.50am, a Queensland Ambulance spokeswoman said.

He was taken to Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.

It’s not known what type of snake may have bitten the teen.

The Bulletin asked the ambulance service how the boy came to be bitten and which street the bite occurred on, but that information was not provided.
