“Our deepest sympathies and love are extended to her husband and children.”

They said the medical centre would stay closed for November 11.

Tributes for “Dr Liz” flooded in with some saying she was the only doctor they felt comfortable with.

“This took my breath away,” Stephanie Eriksen commented.

“Liz was the first doctor I have ever felt comfort and genuine care.

“She did more for me over the past 18+ months than any other doctor over the years.”

Another said she was “an angel taken too soon”.

“(She was) one of few doctors in my lifetime who made me feel listened to and it was so easy to talk to her about anything and everything,” Mel Mel commented.

“She had such a beautiful and fun personality.”

“This is so upsetting, my mind can’t comprehend,” another said.

On May 4 2021 the Tamborine Village Medical centre welcomed Dr Elizabeth as their first female GP.

She said then she had committed long term and became a partner in the practice.

Dr Elizabeth graduated from University on Liverpool in 1998 and moved to Queensland in 2014 with her husband and two children.
