LIFEGUARDS have made an odd discovery on the shores of a Gold Coast waterway – a spa washed up after flash flooding over the weekend.
The spa was left on the shores of Tallebudgera Creek after the super cell weather system dumped up to 330mm on parts of the city.

Surf Life Saving Queensland (SLSQ) announced the bizarre find on Facebook.
“If you’ve lost your spa, our lifeguards will be able to point you in the right direction,” the post read.
SLSQ took the opportunity to warn the creek was closed “due to the water quality and debris from the Gold Coast storms”.
WATER RESTRICTIONS PUSHED BACK AFTER STORM
“Please stay out of the water, follow instructions from lifeguards, and read all beach safety signage,” it read.
SLSQ included a photo showing the spa nestled under a tree by the water.
Images were also posted of debris left at the waterline of the creek and the stark difference in the colour of the water before and after the flooding, from blue to murky brown.
