2/55James Blundell. NOW: James is an Australian country music singer who first rose to fame after being named “Best New Talent” at the 1987 Country Music Awards of Australia. 3/55Bill O’Chee. NOW: Bill was a National Party member representing Queensland from 1990-1999. He was the first ethnic-Chinese Australian to become a member of parliament and the youngest person to have become a senator at the time, aged 24. Picture: Peter Cronin
4/55Ben Dark. NOW: A radio and TV presenter, Ben is best known for his work on Getaway from 1999 to 2010.
5/55Stewart Morris. NOW: Stewart is a professional singer and the longest serving member of the Ten Tenors.
6/55Lieutenant General Robert Nimmo. Nimmo was a senior Australian Army officer who served in both WWI and WWII. He also acted as chief military observer in the UN Military Observer Group in Pakistan and India from 1950 until his passing in 1966.
7/55Sir Lorimer Dods. Sir Lorimer was a pioneer of specialised health care for children who founded the Children’s Medical Research Foundation, now known as the Children’s Medical Research Institute. He is considered one of Australia’s most influential paediatricians.
8/55Paul Whittaker. NOW: Paul is a newspaper journalist and editor. In 2018 he was appointed the CEO of Sky News in Australia. He was also Editor-in-chief of The Australian from 2015-2018, Editor of The Daily Telegraph from 2011-2015 and Editor of The Australian from 2007-2011.
9/55John Moore. NOW: John was a Liberal member of the House of Representatives for more than 25 years between 1975-2001. He was also a Cabinet Minister from 1996 to 2001, serving as the Minister for Defence and Minister for Industry, Science and Tourism.
10/55Rod Young. NOW: Rod is a news anchor for Seven News, presenting Seven Gold Coast News on weekdays. He has previously presented Seven News Brisbane and was the face of news in Brisbane on the ABC before moving to Seven Network. Picture: Jerad Williams
11/55Glein Sheil. Glen represented the National Party in the Senate for Queensland from 1974-1981. He also competed at tennis in the Australian Championships in the 1940s and 50s.

13/55Sidney Cotton. Sidney was an inventor, photographer and aviation and photography pioneer. He’s responsible for developing and promoting early colour film processes and inventor of the SidCot suit.
14/55Courtney Atkinson. NOW: Courtney was a member of Australia’s 2008 and 2012 Olympic triathlon teams. He has also won the Men’s International Triathlon Union 2009 World Cup races, and four consecutive Australian Junior Triathlon Championships. 15/55Andrew Baildon. NOW: Andrew is a former freestyle and butterfly swimming champion. He represented Australia in the 1988 and 1992 Olympics and was a medallist at the 1990 Commonwealth Games, where he became the first Commonwealth swimmer to break the 50 second barrier for the 100m freestyle.
