HUNDREDS of anti-vaccination protestors gathered at the Coolangatta-Tweed border on Friday.
More than 500 people held a BBQ at the border to protest against mandatory Covid-19 vaccinations before a peaceful march.
The protest leader identified himself as former Qantas pilot Graham Hood, and claimed he left the company after 32 years because of the vaccine mandate.
There were multiple police crews “keeping a low profile” at the scene, with no incidents reported.
The protest follows the announcement Queensland’s two new Covid cases had been infectious in the southern Gold Coast community.
PREVIOUSLY: ANTI-VAXXERS WAGE WAR ON TWIN TOWNS
ANTI-VAXXERS have waged war on an a Tweed Heads institution after it told members and visitors only vaccinated people would be allowed in the premises from October 11.
Twin Towns Clubs & Resorts said its policy was in line with NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian’s three-stage road map as a way forward for all NSW clubs.
Twin Towns said “unvaccinated people would have the opportunity to enjoy the same freedoms as those who have received their double vaccination” from December 1.
But the club has come under fire from anti-vax groups for following the NSW government’s road map to reopening.
Groups such as Freedom of Speech, No Lockdowns in Australia and Australia Exposed accused Twin Towns of “medical apartheid”.
Twin Towns did not reply to a Bulletin request for comment.

Workers from multiple sectors had planned a protest at the border near Twin Towns from 7am Friday.
Organised by National Education United (NEU), the group is protesting against vaccination mandates.
“The governments’ no jab, no job policies are being implemented through coercion, manipulation or ‘incentives’, and everyday Aussies are losing their rights to work,” NEU spokesman Christian Marchegiani said.
“There is also a frightening danger of Australia seeing vaccination passports for the first time.”
Twin Towns, Club Banora and Twin Towns Juniors reopened on Wednesday, welcoming vaccinated members and visitors through their doors.
