Terrifying scenes as car crashes through childcare centre fence in Miami, Gold Coast

A driver has smashed through the fence of a childcare centre in Miami, just metres away from a playground.

A man has been slapped with a fine after the car he was driving smashed through the fence of a childcare centre, just metres away from a playground.

A black Holden Camaro collided into the fence of the Kool Kids centre at Pacific Ave, Miami, about 12.30pm Sunday.

The 42-year-old male driver from Helensvale and two adult passengers, a 20-year-old woman and a 44-year-old man, suffered only minor injuries.

The fence to the childcare centre sustained major damage and was still taped off on Monday morning.

A tyre had separated from the car, with debris strewn across the area.

Police at the scene issued the driver a fine for careless driving.
