Snake bite Gold Coast: Person hospitalised after being bitten by snake at Paradise Point,

A northern Gold Coast resident has been hospitalised after being bitten by a snake in their home overnight.

A MAN has been bitten by a snake at his workplace in Maudsland this afternoon, the second bite in less than 24 hours on the Gold Coast.

At 1pm, a man in his 20s was bitten on the hand at Starrise Street.

He was taken in a stable condition to Gold Coast University Hospital.

Overnight, a northern Gold Coast resident was hospitalised after being bitten by a snake at their home.

The person, whose gender and age were not disclosed, was struck at 8.57pm last night at a Paradise Point private property.

Paramedics transported the patient in a stable condition to Gold Coast University Hospital.

The type of snake responsible for both attacks was not identified.
