Shocking video shows Coast schoolgirls allegedly bullying classmate

Video footage of a horror cyber bullying incident has been revealed, showing two alleged Gold Coast schoolgirls threatening to kill another teenager and taunting her to commit suicide.

Abusive video sent to Gold Coast teen

A family friend of a schoolgirl targeted in an horrific cyber bullying video - allegedly sent by Gold Coast students - has posted it online urging it be shared and exposed.

The video sent via Snapchat shows two teen girls shouting down the camera, threatening to kill the recipient.

“Everyone f*** hates you and everyone wants to kill you,” a teenage girl shouts.

Other girls can be heard and seen laughing off camera.

“Kill yourself before I f*** kill you because you are a f**** s*** and I f***ing hate you,” she says.

The Bulletin understands the video came to the attention of the Department of Education last year but was posted to Facebook today.

The man who posted it claims to be a family friend of the intended target, who he described as a bullying victim.

“Friends and family, a good mate’s daughter had these lovely girls send her this. What would u do? Disgraceful,” he posted with the clip.

“Would u like ur child doing this or hanging out with these charming girls. Please share as this needs to come out and these people need to be exposed,” he posted.

The video has been shared 800 times and viewed 26,000 times.

His posting of it has sparked violent threats against the girls in the video.

“As u can understand this is VERY upsetting for the family and are quite hesitant and scared of more things happening to them and their daughter,” he wrote.

“They are extremely upset and don’t want anymore hate from these girls.”

The man later thanked all those who left comments

“We sit and do nothing and it will continue. If we act, maybe, just maybe something good will come of this,” he said.

The schoolgirl’s family friend has shared the video online.

“Yes I am angry with the girls doing this but I also feel sorry for them and their family to have this much hatred regardless of the circumstance. Wish we could ALL get along and I hope these girl get the help they need.”

The Department of Education would not comment on individual cases.

“Cyber-bullying is not a problem for schools to solve in isolation, it is an issue for the

whole community,” an education department spokesman said.

“It follows young people through the day and into the evening, on weekends and holidays.”

Schools across Queensland are implementing recommendations from a taskforce report into addressing youth cyber-bullying.

Students and caregivers with any concerns were strongly encouraged to report cases

of bullying or misconduct to principals or their closest Department of Education office.
