A man in his 20s has been rushed to hospital in a critical condition after a crash on the Gold Coast.
Queensland Fire and Emergency services were called to a crash where a car smashed into a truck at the intersection of Rio Vista Boulevard and Rudd Street in Broadbeach Waters at 5.46am on Saturday.
Multiple paramedics rushed to the scene and assessed a man in his 20s who had a serious head injury.
The took him to Gold Coast University Hospital in a critical condition.
The Forensic Crash unit are investigating the incident.
The Queensland emergency services had a busy 12 hours on the Gold Coast as they attended another four crashes.
At 5.50am an ambulance was called after a teenage girl smashed her car into a fence on William Boulevard in Pimpama.
Paramedics assessed her and found she had head, abdominal and pelvic injuries.
They took her to Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.
Around 2.20am on Saturday paramedics were called to a truck crash at the Reedy Creek off ramp on the M1, after a truck smashed into a barrier.
When emergency services arrived they assessed a man in his 30s who had neck injuries.
They rushed him to Gold Coast University Hospital in a serious condition.
At 11.01pm paramedics were called to a single-car rollover on Smith Street.
They assessed a woman in her 20s and took her to Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.
At 6.13pm emergency services were called after a car and a motorbike collided on the M1 southbound at Ormeau.
Police assessed a man who had arm and leg injuries and took him to Gold Coast University hospital in a stable condition.
