“There are certainly more genuine prospects walking around with an eagerness to buy than last year,” said Mr Hasser.
“We are very encouraged by attendance figures and the excellent leads for the wide range of marine products on sale here.”
Local manufacturers Riviera and Maritimo claimed the sale of two luxury boats each, while Sports Marine signed up a customer for a Meridian motor yacht that was advertised for $794,000.
Stefan Boating World and Queensland Marine Centre sold four high-end trailer boats by the end of the day.
EuroMarque notched up its third supercar sale for the show with a contract on another Maserati.
Business went through the roof today for Aqualuma Underwater Lights, which had a quiet day yesterday.
“We sold out of all our products by the second day — which hasn’t happened in 10 years of exhibiting. Today has been very, very busy,” said Aqualuma’s Carl Amor.
The boat show continues until Sunday.
