IT’S a simple mistake that many people will have made at some point in their lives – sending an email or a text message to the wrong recipient.
Bonney MP Sam O’Connor has revealed how he fell victim to the common gaffe in spectacular fashion two months ago, sending a text ordering a chicken parmigiana to his boss, LNP leader Deb Frecklington, instead of Arundel Tavern publican Deb Frugtniet.

“It wasn’t a good moment,” Mr O’Connor said.
“It’s Deb Frugtniet and Deb Frecklington, so they’re both Deb Fr.
“We’ve all been there. But maybe not with hopefully the next Premier of Queensland.”
Luckily for Mr O’Connor, Ms Frecklington took the mistake in good humour, stopping off at the Arundel Tavern last Friday to buy him his favourite dish and joke about the incident with Ms Frugtniet.

“She though it was hilarious,” Mr O’Connor said. “It was really lovely for them to both meet, they both remembered it ... it (visiting the tavern) was something that she just jumped at.”
Despite Ms Frecklington’s good-humoured reaction, Mr O’Connor said he is apprehensive about making the same mistake again.
“I get a moment of fear every time I text either one of them,” he said.
“I talk to Deb (Frugtniet) quite regularly at the pub because she’s a very active member of the community. I get that slight moment of fear but I take a second to pause now before sending it (a text) off.”

Luckily for Mr O’Connor, there is little chance of him repeating the error with his party’s most senior figure.
“I don’t have ScoMo’s mobile,” he said.
