Time-strapped Christmas shopper Ange Kimpton said it was a convenient solution.

“You don’t even have to stop really,” the 28-year-old said. “People are here waiting to serve you, so it’s quick.

“It’s still a thoughtful gift and you don’t have to stress.”

The drive-through will be open from 10am-4pm on Saturday and Sunday.

But for those who prefer more traditional methods of shopping, Gold Coast shopping centres will be extending their trading hours.

Robina Town Centre and Pacific Fair are open until midnight on December 23. Both centres are open from 9am-9pm on weekdays.

The Robina centre will be open 8am-6pm on Saturday and 9am-6pm on Sunday.

Pacific Fair will be open 9am-6pm on the weekend.

Harbour Town will be open 9am-7pm today and 9am-5.30pm tomorrow and Saturday.
