A 28-year-old Labrador man has been charged after two armed robberies in Hemmant and Tingalpa earlier this month.
The Gold Coast man allegedly threatened two cashiers with a gun on different occasions
Gold Coast police said on December 12 at around 7pm a man allegedly entered a licensed premises on Gosport Street, Hemmant and threatened an employee with a gun.
He allegedly forced the employee to give him cash and left the building on foot with a sum of money.
Only five days later, police allege at around 1am he entered another licensed premises on Wynnum Road, Tingalpa with a gun, threatening the cashier and demanding money.
Police said the employee attempted to get the cash, however, was unable to and the man fled the scene in a silver hatchback.
He has been charged with 13 offences, including armed robbery, attempted armed robbery and possession of a weapon.
He is due to appear before Wynnum Magistrates Court on December 23.
