Two hospitalised, car flipped from Southport crash

Two people have been rushed to hospital from a two-vehicle crash on the Gold Coast, which caused a car to flip.

TWO people have been rushed to hospital from a two-vehicle crash on the Gold Coast, which caused a car to flip.

The crash on the corner of Nerang St and Falconer St in Southport occurred about 5pm on Sunday.

Pictures taken on the scene show one of the cars flipped on its side.

Paramedics, including critical care and High Acuity Response Unit, attended the scene at 5.07pm.

Two people were taken to Gold Coast University Hospital in stable conditions.

Eight fire trucks at storage shed fire on Coast

Eight fire trucks were on scene trying to extinguish a fire at a storage shed which started in the early hours of the morning.

Queensland Fire Emergency services said they were called for a structural fire at the National Storage shed in Labrador at 4:20am.

At 7:30am they said they have eight trucks on scene pulling the shed a part to help dampen and extinguish the fire.

The spokesperson said at 9:50am they were just dampening down the area and investigations were underway on how the fire was started.

A Queensland Ambulance spokesperson said paramedics were on standby for the duration of the fire but no one was treated or taken to hospital.
