Police have confirmed a man has died in a car crash overnight on the Gold Coast.

Reports said the 30-year-old Mount Isa man was driving north in his silver Subaru Forester along The Panorama when he failed to stop at the intersection and crashed into a rock wall..

Paramedics rushed to the crash but sadly the man died at the scene.

On Monday morning, relatives were seen laying flowers and candles at the scene of the crash.

Police are urging anyone with information or dashcam footage of the crash, or the lead up to it, to contact them at 131 444.
