Gold Coast rapper says his car was 'sabotaged'

The owner of a luxury car which was incinerated after it burst into flames says he believes it was sabotaged.

On December 21, Queensland Fire and Emergency services were called to a car fire on Ferny Ave in Surfers Paradise around 12.20pm.

A Gold Coast rapper and OnlyFans star who goes by the stage name Lil Sick said he was the owner of the destroyed Mercedes.

He said he believed his car was sabotaged by someone he knew and wasn’t going to claim it on insurance because he didn’t want to “dob” them in.

The rapper said he wasn’t worried when he saw his car burst into flames because he had two other cars to drive.

“It is just a material thing that you can replace,” he said.

Videos of the incident emerged on social media showing the plumes of smoke surging from the scene at Circle on Cavill.

Photos showed parts of the car melted to the ground, with the front and the back of the vehicle completely destroyed.

DECEMBER 21: Car melts into ground in massive Surfers blaze

A car has been incinerated after bursting into flames and sending out billows of smoke near a busy Gold Coast road.

Queensland Fire and Emergency services were called to a car fire on Ferny Ave in Surfers Paradise around 12.20pm.

A spokesperson said when they arrived the car was “well involved”.

Local Lorraine Gable posted to Surfers Paradise Community page a shocking video of smoke surging from the scene on Circle on Cavill.

At 12.32pm firefighters had the blaze under control but are remaining on site to finish the clean-up.

Photos showed parts of the car melted to the ground with the front and the back of the vehicle completely destroyed.

Gold Coast police said the Gold Coast Highway southbound experienced traffic delays due to the smoke.
