Police found 9yo girl missing from Southport park

Police have located the nine-year-old girl who disappeared from a Gold Coast park on Saturday.

Police are searching for a nine-year-old girl who disappeared from a Southport park on Saturday afternoon.

The girl was last seen at Lilli Pilli Park at Lilli Pilli Drive shortly before 3:30pm and has not been seen since.

She is described as Māori, short with a proportionate build, short brown hair, and wearing a black shirt with a purple print and blue denim pants.

Southport residents are being asked to check their properties and surrounds for the girl.

Officers are appealing for anyone with information about the girls whereabouts to contact police.
