QUEENSLAND police have released incredible vision of the Gold Coast hinterland on fire.
The stunning night-time vision, which was shot from a police helicopter, shows the devastating impact the fire is having on the city’s bushland.

Reminiscent of stars in the sky or a city lit up at night, bright white flames flicker across the mountains.
Hundreds of small white dots — spot fires and remnants of larger fires — can be seen, as well as large bands of flames where the largest blazes continue to burn.
