Parkwood man hospitalised after Gold Coast dog attack

A man has been taken to hospital with facial injuries after a reported dog bite at a Gold Coast residence this evening.

A MAN has been left with “puncture wounds” to the face after a dog attack at a Parkwood residence this evening.

Emergency services were called to the residence at 8.50pm.

A Queensland Ambulance Services representative confirmed a man in his 50s had suffered a bite to the side of the face and punctures behind the ear and on the jawline.

The breed of the animal is unknown however emergency services confirmed it to be a large dog.

The man was transported to Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.
