THE world’s smallest and “most charismatic” boy band have arrived on the Gold Coast and are already getting up to mischief.
An 11-strong group of inquisitive male marmosets were hand-picked from zoos all around Australia to go on show at the Village Roadshow Paradise Country park at Oxenford.
Paradise Country curator of wildlife Deane Jones said the marmosets were an exciting addition to the park, and would become ambassadors for primates doing it tough.

“We are incredibly excited to welcome the marmosets and cannot wait for our guests to watch them get up to mischievous antics,” he said. “They are the funniest and most charismatic primate.”
Mr Jones said more than 60 per cent of the world’s primate species were threatened with extinction and the marmosets would join Paradise Country’s Save A Mate Program to help raise awareness and funds for wild cousins in the Amazon.
Mr Jones said the monkeys aged 18 months to seven years had their own individual personality and he was confident the public would fall in love with them, just like he had.
