A MAN has been rescued from a Scenic Rim cliff face after a horror fall from a popular hiking spot on Thursday.
The man in his 30s - an experienced hiker - became lost while hiking before slipping down the rock face and becoming disoriented.
He was able to call for help via his phone but the sheer face forced paramedics to reach him via the RACQ LifeFlight Rescue helicopter around 12.30pm.
They located the man after searching the area with police, finding him waving a reflective emergency blanket he had brought with him.
He was assessed and treated for minor cuts to his legs before being winched to the helicopter.
He was then flown to the base of the mountain and met by local police.
